On this website, we highlight designers to provide our customers with a free one-hour consultation in our showrooms. Whether it's to help select an area rug or carpeting, or to look over space plans, the designer will be compensated if our customer makes a purchase. This service provides the designer with exposure and additional opportunities to engage our customers and obtain more business. FREE IN-HOME SHOWING SAMPLE SERVICE
Our In-Home Sample Service can be easily arranged if you need to show your clients how a rug looks in a room you're designing.
Once you and your client have selected several rugs, our team will pull these from our inventory and bring them -free of charge- directly to your client's home. We know purchasing an area rug is a big decision, so we make it as easy as possible by showing the rugs in your client's space.
DESIGNER CHOICE COLLECTION
The Rug Importer presents The Designer's Choice Collection - an incredible opportunity for New Jersey designers and decorators! In 2011 we selected four talented area designers who created their own unique rug collections from our vast inventory. The designers embodied their signature aesthetics and vision through their style and story. We grouped these collections together in our stores - and highlighted each designer with her own display.
We celebrated our first Designer Choice Collection "launch" at a cocktail reception in our East Hanover store - attended by the designer's clients, family and friends. This annual event will take place each September and we encourage your participation.
An application is available to ALL New Jersey interior designers and decorators - and if selected a winner you can expect:
- An in store display, featuring your bio and portfolio, along with your rug selections
- Direct mail to 15,000 Rug Importer customers, featuring you and your collection
- Generous returns when you sell your signature collection
- Publicity in 201 Magazine, Design NJ, NY Spaces, and other design publications
- A page on our website, featuring you and your rug collection available for purchase

ASID INDUSTRY PARTNER
We're proud to be an Industry Partner with the NJ Chapter of ASID. As an IP member, we interact with designers and strongly support the organization's efforts to promote the profession of interior design. The Rug Importer continues to host educational and design events at its showrooms for its members and students and participates each year in the ASID New Jersey Chapter Trade Show. We feel that our connection with this prestigious organization keeps us informed and 'at the pulse' of the design community in New Jersey.

DESIGNER SHOWHOUSE VENDOR PARTICIPATION
